Beijing Mac user group meeting

Fromthe Beijing Macintosh User Group:

The next meeting of the Beijing Macintosh User Group will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2008.

David Blumenstein (also known as niu-bi), the New York Liaison for the Beijing Macintosh User Group (as well as a Standing Committee Member at the BeiMac Union), will be in Beijing at the BeiMac meeting on February 23, 2008.

At the meeting, to be held from 3 PM through to 5:30 PM at the Hutong School (8 Shuangsi Hutong), the talk will cover:

• Internet trends and what's really going on
• niu-bi's conversion to Apple (and why all of China should be on Macs)
• Utilities and software on niu-bi's Mac
• How to use the Apple Store as a virtual office space
• The power of Terminal

At the end, niu-bi will take "tons of questions" about anything technology-related, as well as offer a little non-Mac (but very 2008) commentary.

The talk will be in English with live translations in Chinese. To register for the event, send a text message to +86 13501082677 with your name and number coming, as well as "BM 20080223" (eg John Doe 120080223).

The BeiMac website will be updated with news and information of the meetup in due time.

Time: 3 PM - 5:30 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2008
Place: Hutong School, 8 Shuangsi Hutong, Jiugulou Avenue, Beijing.
Enter from Dashiqiao Hutong (do not enter from Shuangsi Hutong).

This meeting is free. The venue will have free drinks and wifi.
