Fahrenheit 9/11 to show in China?Posted by Jeremy Goldkorn, June 29, 2004 7:35 PM
In a story headlined "Fahrenheit 9/11 might be shown in China", the Beijing News speculates on the likelihood of Michael Moore's documentary being granted government approval to be shown in Chinese cinemas. A Beijing News journalist called the Film Bureau and was told that that they were 'busy working hard' on the application for the film. But apparently many people think that it won't be approved because of its 'sensitive' content. The Beijing News story, in Chinese, is here. UPDATE: reader 'Big Nose in Shenzhen' reports that pirate DVDs of Fahrenheit 9/11 are already for sale in southern China. |
