![]() Feuding friends on Sandglass Sharon () is a prolific author of young adult fiction who shoots low-budget teen soaps based on her novels. The actors in those shows have appeared on the covers of her recent books, including the Sandglass series. A new set of "teen angst" novels was just released this month by Northern Arts Publishing House. Here's the cover of I Was Never Alone After All (原来我一直都不孤单): ![]() They're not alone after all It's not just the cover design that recalls Sharon's book: the cover blurb suggests that author Xia Yueran's prose "blows away Sharon's teen angst writing in Sandglass III; within the angst and loneliness, you will find sweetness and pleasure." not that I'm judging a book by its cover or anything... (well, maybe I am) but these books look less like 'teen angst' books and more like young lesbian chick-lit.
