Comments on China Africa series in New York Timeshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lydia_Polgreen "Lydia Polgreen (born 1975) is an American journalist who has been the West Africa bureau chief of The New York Times, based in Dakar, Senegal, since 2005." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_French "Howard French (born 1957) is a New York Times senior reporter as well as an author and photographer. French taught at a university in the Ivory Coast in the 1980s before becoming a reporter. He has reported extensively on the political affairs of Western and Central Africa." I heard that Nick Young, former editor of China Development Brief, will be collaborating with the excellent Pambazuka News to produce a new publication looking at China in Africa - one to watch out for. Nick was born in Africa and worked there for many years in journalism, I believe. |
