Bela Fleck, Abigail Washburn, Casey Driessen and Ben Sollee, are the Sparrow Quartet. Just back from Tibet, they are playing two shows this Friday and Saturday night, November 10 and 11 (scroll down to the bottom of this page on ygtwo.com for details). Below is the Danwei Music episode about the Sparrow Quartet, this time with Chinese subtitles, hosted on Tudou.com (Danwei TV's Tudou page is here.) It's an interview with the band recorded on a hutong house rooftop as they jammed with Illiqi and Hujilitu, two members of the Beijing-based Mongolian folk band Hanggai, before they left for Tibet. Sound was recorded with on camera microphones.

For a Scot I know a lot of semi classical Chinese music and performers but this fusion style is heartwarming
