Thanks Thomas. I'm sorry I forgot the name of the mobile cash register company but I hope the idea that innovative technological adaptation for the local market (including consumer preferences, channel/distribution realities, much lower cost perspective) is evident in virtually all Chinese start-ups that "copy" things to China. I've had a front row seat on this with a company I invested in--2duche.com--which has seen other powerful American and Japanese companies fail to innovate in terms of both technology and application of that technology to the local market. Thanks for the nice "label" of "Adaptive Creativity" I think I will start using it!
