Is the flag fixed to the flagpole, in such a way that it only unfurls as it reaches the top?
I was thinking it was a shame that it wasn't a windy day, but right at the top, the flag unfurled.
I think not, as it unfurls right when they start to raise it. There probably wasn't any wind until it reached the top. Or maybe they're testing some of the weather machinery to be used at the Olympics...?
And by the way, having been in the parade business I can tell you that those are some snappy moves. These guys practice a lot.
