Comments on The last days of an old temple“旧的不去新的不来” why must foreigners insist upon obstructing china's advancement? i say, torch this crumbling heapwith the brilliance of our olympic flame, and erect in its place a new temple--built of aluminum and blue-tinted plexiglas--to the glory of our rising motherland! “旧的不去新的不来” why must foreigners insist upon obstructing china's advancement? i say, torch this crumbling heapwith the brilliance of our olympic flame, and erect in its place a new temple--built of aluminum and blue-tinted plexiglas--to the glory of our rising motherland! ——说这话的人是彻底的愚蠢与无知!! And this is not the only one... That was the old State Guesthouse of China in Qing Dynasty. Located in Xuanwu District as well... Destroyed in March 2008 by the CITIC Real Estate Company. 楼上的 akeyking: b.'s original comment reeks of sarcasm. No-one who really wanted to replace cultural relics with "aluminium and blue-tinted plexiglas" would describe it like that! Don't worry - b. is taking the mick. Question: where is the Xiefangde Temple Exactly ? The Xuanwumen street-sign and Wal-Mart are in the video; so I surmise it must be located in that general area.
Courtyard No.3, 5, 7 in Fayuansi Houjie (Fayuan Temple Back Street) and No.12, 12 Pangmen, 14 in Peiyu Hutong. It's right behind the famous Fayuan Temple in the west of Caishikou Dajie in Xuanwu district. Fayuansi district is on the protection-list. |
