My good friend Lisa Tchoudjinoff (an expert in the area of Uighur music) was kind enough to share some of her favorite tunes to make the soundtrack...Google was kind enough to lend me a couple of the scenic stills...enjoy...

Yeah I was in Xin Jiang around 99. Great place, lots of wonderful memories. The only bad thing is I wished I had spent more time down there. I was in Xin Jiang for a week. On my way over I stopped at Dun Huang, which is also a wonderful place.

I remember a funny thing that happened. On my way to the airport (flying to Sichuan) I was B.Sing with some passenger about how the government is fucked up. Next thing I knew we got pulled over at a police check point and I was throughly searched. Coincidence? I will play it safe in the future and mind my own business.

Actually I am kind of paranoid about government guys monintoring what I say on Danwei. I can see it now, soon as I land I will be hauled off to some education center(yes sir, regarding those comments you made about Beijing Olympics on Danwei.org)...Any of you Chinese government agent? I'm sure at least one C.I.A agent reads Danwei. The more interesting question is whether or not Danwei is a front for the C.I.A.

Hi, What kind of Camera did you shoot this on? It must have been pretty small.
Thanks!

I liked your video. My company is building a mountain resort in the mountains just south of Urumqi, so much of your film was familiar.
Nice job.

@Julia R...I don't know much about the camera as it's not mine (it's the GF's and it collects dust if I don't use it)...but sure, it's small...looking at it, it says Sony Handycam, Wide LCD, DCR-PC1000E PAL, 2.8 mega pixels.....other than that, I am clueless on the specs...only really familiar with the 'on' and 'off' button...hope that was helpful.

Hey really liked the video, especially the soundtrack! I am a guitarist from Australia and im trying to find more of this style music to learn while im in China. Id love to find out the name of some of those bands especially the first guitar section....so if you know where i can look online, or in any music stores in Beijing please let me know. Thanks. Jonny

Hi Guys...I liked the music on the video.

Anyone know how to contact Lisa T. I would like to ask her how/where to buy/find it.

Thanks
Rog
