Was 9-11 a conspiracy?! Read this free paper to find out!

Guangzhou Metro Daily
September 14, 2007
Guangzhou Metro Daily, is a free tabloid distributed in Guangzhou subway stations by the Guangzhou Daily Newspaper Group. It appears three times a week, and carries short, eye-catching articles.

Today's headline shouts "9-11 was a conspiracy". This bold exposé comes from the Global Times, but the original source is the Russian tabloid Komsomolskaya Pravda. According to the subheads:

· "The official explaination has many points of contention and has been questioned by many engineers";
· "Specialists believe that the real cause was explosives beneath the grond rather than two civil airplanes";
· "Three quarters of American citizens suspect that their government is withholding the truth."

The other front-page picture shows a performer with a special talent: he can blow a traditional hulusi flute with his nose while inflating a balloon with his ear. The man will appear at a variety show to be held in Guangzhou this November that will showcase quirky talents.

Other headlines, which appear above brief wire reports:

· China now has 900 million telephone users;
· Guangzhou Airport is the forth most convenient airport in China;
· A new tax will be assessed on car owners in place of road tolls.

I read that story in the Global Times. It was an interesting read, especially the statistic that 3/4 of Americans suspect their government is withholding the truth. I didn't think it would be that high.

sounds sketchy to me. Where did they get their stats from?

Discovery Channel ( a fairly mainstream cable TV channel in the US) has had documentaries about other reasons for the WTC's collapse. The suspicions aren't aroused so much by the twin towers themselves as Bldg #7's collapse despite not being hit and supposed demolition residue being scraped off of load bearing girders. Still, a 757 full of fuel hitting a building at 400-500 mph makes a big impact and a big, hot fire. This will rank up there with the Kennedy assassination for conspiracy theories.

The 3/4 number is probably taken from polls showing that this number of Americans don't trust the gov't overall, hate Bush, hate MNCs and think we were deliberately lied to about Iraq.

The truth is out there and eat the rich.

"This will rank up there with the Kennedy assassination for conspiracy theories."

You are an idiot...this is HOGWASH!!!!!!!!

"The 3/4 number is probably taken from polls showing that this number of Americans don't trust the gov't overall, hate Bush, hate MNCs and think we were deliberately lied to about Iraq."

BUSH rules. There hasn't been a better president since the first Bush and before that Reagan.
China/U.S. relations wouldn't be what they were today if it weren't for the BUSH family...BUSH SR. was integral in NIXON'S historical visit to Beijing to reestablish relations.
IRAQ? Come on now...only a facist socialist would disagree with bringing democracy to that place.

3/4 of Americans? I doubt that!!!!!!!! BUSH IS WELL LOVED

this theory ahs been around since day one almost. Youtube has discovery documentaries showing the explosives being set off at timed intervals. They also have architects and structural engineers giving accounts that the steel structure in the centre of the towers would have withstood the impact of the planes but the placing of explosives would have brought it down. There were also accoutns of whole floors being closed for 'redecoration', and loud noises being made, when checked days after the floors were untouched. - this would have been the placing of explosives within the steel framework. see the documentaries... well worth a look.

Tales of Old Hong Kong: The new Tales of Old Hong Kong compiled by Derek Sandhaus is available at Earnshaw Books.
Diamond Hill by Feng Chi-shun: Feng's memoir Diamond Hill describes an era of gambling and gangsters, Suzie Wong and squatter villages, fires and food stalls, and the Kowloon Walled City and its white powder. "A time when people were poor, but life was rich," he says. The world that he grew up in no longer exists, but his book - the first ever on the Diamond Hill refugee settlement, in either Chinese or English - offers a candid picture of what life was like for most Hong Kong residents in the 1950s.
William A. Callahan's China: The Pessoptimist Nation: China: The Pessoptimist Nation shows how the heart of Chinese foreign policy is not a security dilemma, but an identity dilemma. Through a careful analysis of how Chinese people understand their new place in the world, the book charts how Chinese identity emerges through the interplay of positive and negative feelings in a dynamic that intertwines China's domestic and international politics.
