Multiple murder suspect arrested in Wuhan

A man suspected of murdering eight people on January 5th in Suizhou, Hubei Province was seized yesterday in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei.

The eight victims include a 42-year-old woman who rejected the suspect's marriage proposal and her 2-year-old grandson.

The suspect, a 35-year-old man named Xiong Zhenling, was recognized yesterday in a photo shop in Wuhan where he was taking a passport photo and immediately turned in to the police.

Xiong has confessed to the murders. In his confession, Xiong stated that he had been in hiding for several days in Hainan Province before he decided to return to Hubei to get a fake ID card and kill more people including his ex-wife and her new husband.

The police had previously put up a cash reward of 100,000 yuan for information leading to the arrest.

● The government announced the start of this year's "Spring Festival Rush" yesterday. In Wuhan, the total number of passengers leaving the city yesterday was a record-breaking 378,500.

Oh, it's my hometown ... As for the spring festival rush, I blogged about it too. In my opinion, to stay with family during spring festival is such a important custom for us. No one dares to disobey it or even to discuss about an alternative way. Though we all know it's a very low-efficiency family gathering, we all have to go with it.
