The top headline of today's New Culture View says that donations from the Jilin provincial government to needy people in disaster-hit areas reached a one-day total of more than two million yuan yesterday. The front page photo shows members of the Changchun Yatai football club celebrating their Super League Title. Their 4:1 victory over Shenzhen Kingway last night put them atop Beijing Guo'an in the standings, winning them their first championship. Other headlines: • In October, resale housing prices in Changchun rose fifth fastest in the country; • Eleven people died when a fire swept through a foot massage shop in Chengde, Hebei province; • The mainland is rejecting any letters and parcels postmarked "Taiwan's entry into the United Nations" it discovers. The mail will be returned to Taiwan; • The Shanghai stock market bounced back yesterday, breaking the single-day record to close at over 5400.
