The First leads with the story the sinkhole that opened up under West Dawang Road last Thursday week (see report). After three days and four nights of repairs, the main lane of West Dawang Road reopened to traffic this morning. The collapse of the roadway broke a water main, cutting off water to many of the surrounding buildings. Water was restored over the weekend. The front page photo is of Beijing's Olympic cheerleading squad during a rehearsal. All team members are amateur volunteers. Other headlines:
