Stem cells and discrimination suits

Two medical stories:

Nokia and Hepatitis B
The Financial Times reports: Nokia China hit with discrimination suit
Excerpt:

A Chinese job applicant on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against Nokia alleging that a local unit of the Finnish telecommunications equipment company refused to employ him because he is a carrier of the Hepatitis B virus...

...Chinese companies routinely refuse to employ people who carry the Hepatitis B virus, even though it is mainly transmitted at birth, through sexual contact or by contaminated needles.

Stem cell blogs
Stem cell medical treatments are not considered controversial in China; as a result the treatments available are far ahead of what's on offer in other countries. Virtual China has a roundup of stem cell treatment blogs and posts, including the following:
Shenzhen Fieldnotes - stem cell therapy in Nanshan (click here if you're in China - the blog is on the blocked Livejournal)
China Stem Cell News, including medical history summaries of foreign patients who came to China for treatment

Comments on Stem cells and discrimination suits

Quite a scandal about Nokia. I saw this a while back accusing Microsoft of having the same policy. I went up down and through MS' China page but wasn't able to find the clause this blogger mentions. I did find something on a bbs later, but it seemed to have been a misreading of the MS China's HR page.
