McDonald's to open first drive-through restaurant in China

fatty.jpg

McDonald's is planning to open it's first drive-through hamburger outlet in China this year, according to a report in today's Financial Times. The new outlet will be in Shenzhen.

The report also quotes Jim Skinner, chief executive of the fast food company, who said that there were plans to open 100 new restaurants in China this year. Apparently McDonald's wants to have 1,000 outlets in the country by 2008, "a more than 50 per cent increase on the current number".
