Beijing: Consultant and Office, Finance, and Administration Manager

Who are we?
Marianne Friese Consulting is a successful Management, Marketing, and Communications Consultancy headquartered in Munich, Germany with a Representative Office in Beijing, China. Its clients are European and US corporations from various industries in Europe and the US seeking strategic counsel for China and Asia Pacific initiatives such as market entry, corporate positioning, branding, team building, integrated communications, trade show participation, film and TV projects, and many similar, related matters. The team in China is eager to find several additional colleagues to work with them to deliver highly professional consulting. At the moment, we are a Chinese, Canadian, German team looking for global thinkers that love solving problems and dealing with diverse topics.

Who are you?
You are in Beijing, China, have an academic degree, and love working in an international environment. You are eager to and preferably experienced in dealing with colleagues and clients all over the world. Hopefully, therefore, you have experience working in Chinese, English, and German. If you can speak, read, and write two of those three languages, great. If you are fluent in two and at least proficient in the third, we will be thrilled! Also, if you have previous experience in the retail industry, management consulting, or communications agency, it would be advantageous. It is not, however, a pre-requisite. Additionally, you are passionate about attending to detail and a master at juggling many things at the same time. You enjoy executing under time pressure with one clear goal in mind: get it great!

Office, Finance, and Administration Manager
You have 5 years or more experience working in China in a minimum of one of the functions we'd like to staff. You love solving problems big and small, ranging from rental agreements to visa extensions to supplier pricing and bookkeeping matters. No matter what a day brings, you'll tackle the challenge and feel satisfied about the service you provide to your colleagues and clients. You’re ready to run all our financial matters in cooperation with a colleague in Germany and manage all China relevant financial and taxation matters. You enjoy using bookkeeping software, answering phones, and arranging for a team dinners after successful projects.

Junior Consultant
You have about 2 years experience working at an international enterprise in China or a Chinese enterprise with an international focus. In any case, you are eager to deal with tasks that are China-focused but involve colleagues and teammates from all over the world. Ideally you have lived abroad for a while, so you have a good understanding of "outside of China" perspectives. You know how to find information, summarize it, and turn it into a smashing presentation. You love to give advice about why to choose a certain option over another one, and you have a good sense of how to make partners and vendors deliver on their promises on time. You take pride in overachieving, and that's why you think ahead of the game, anticipating challenges and managing tasks efficiently. In a nutshell, you are very smart and look forward to working with very smart colleagues.

Senior Consultant
You have a minimum of 6 years experience working with a Consultancy or Agency in China. You have taken full responsibility on consulting projects and have provided advice for clients regarding strategic decisions. Your previous activities have included leading teams or project groups and managing task assignment and budgeting of complex projects. You believe in attention to detail and love seeing a happy client. When encountering challenges, conflicts, or disagreements, you address them immediately and facilitate the process of achieving mutually successful results. You love to take charge but also feel happy to cooperate as a team player. In a nutshell, you are a leader, a wonderful consultant, and a model teammate.
