Beijing: Editor and art director for Time Out

Time Out Beijing is looking for an exceptionally talented editor to take the helm of this monthly publication. The successful candidate will have experience as a writer and editor for international level publications, a minimum basic understanding of Chinese culture, with Mandarin speakers preferred. Great creative vision to take the magazine forward in this incredibly culturally vibrant city is a must. The editor will be expected to work independently, sourcing local contributors and ensuring a high quality of editorial. The job will include partial responsibility for the website.

A creative genius is wanted to lead the design team in Beijing. Some knowledge of Chinese culture and language is preferred but not a necessity, however the director will have experience in magazine design, an ability to use illustrator, quark, in design, photoshop and have endless creative ideas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of the magazine, the cover ideas and all supplement design and will work closely with the editorial team.
