China Economic Review, a business magazine with offices in Shanghai, Hong
Kong and Beijing (read online here http://www.chinaeconomicreview.com), is seeking a full-time contributing editor to be based in Beijing. Responsibilities include generating story ideas and contributing to the editorial planning process, as well as following up on leads, and writing and researching stories for print and online.

The candidate should be willing to learn quickly about new trends, industries and issues. Journalism experience is required; knowledge of business/economic issues is an advantage but not essential. Native-level English is necessary, and Chinese language skills are a plus. E-mail cover letter, résumé and clips to

The Inmost Shrine: A Photographic Odyssey of China, 1873: One of the first photojournalists in the world, John Thomson, traveled to China and took photographs of Chinese people in the late 19th century. His photographs have been widely circulated, collected by the Wellcome Gallery in England and by National Library of Scotland.
