Beijing: Management and marketing positions for vitamin company

Mitamins, a California based company engaged in vitamin research and marketing is outsourcing part of its non-manufacturing activities, such as formula research, online marketing, and web development. We are seeking professional and managerial staff to fill both full time and part time positions in Beijing.

Ideal candidates for the following positions must be university graduates with relevant experiences and possess excellent command of spoken and written English, plus proficiency in using computers. Background in medicine, supplement, or nutrition preferred. Supplements or health-related industry experiences, and knowledge of the U.S. supplement market are strong plus. VP Operations
Responsibilities:
• Manage the overall China operation, coordinate with the US offices.
• Lead the development of website, disease specific formulas and the community.
• Source production machines; coordinate the efforts of redesigning equipment for specific uses and operating the equipment in the US.
• Manage online marketing activities.
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of Internet operation managerial experience, preferably in health or supplement related industry.
• Strong leadership, cross-cultural working experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin, both verbal and written.

Technology / IT Director
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and integration effort of websites, servers and backend systems.
• Responsible for all IT issues in the local office.
• Head the development and testing team.
Requirements:
• Strong leadership, cross-cultural working experience, and at least 8 years of relevant experiences.
• Strong overall architecture and design background and knowledge of Oracle database; system design or programming experience in using Struts, Hibernate, Spring and Ofbiz.
• Expert in designing and developing using the following technologies: MySQL, Java, HTML, and knowledge of the latest website design and development tools.
• Familiarity with accounting, inventory and CRM applications a plus.


Online Community Manager
Responsibilities:
• Manage online community, such as Forum, Chat and lectures.
• Provide community development requirements to the technical team.
• Promote the online community.
Requirements:
• Experience in building online communities for Internet companies. Good understanding of forum and chat technologies.
• Familiar with forum and chat users behavior in the U.S. market.
• At least 3 years of online marketing experience; medical knowledge preferred.


Product Manager
Responsibilities:
• Perform market analysis and develop product requirements
• Manage from kick-off to launch of assigned products
• Work cross-functionally with other teams to help define product packaging specifications and marketing materials, provide design direction, and interact directly with technical development team
Requirements:
• MBA degree preferred with 5 years of relevant product development and management experience.
• Strong leadership skills and initiative by working independently while effectively communicating with the US and China team.
• Knowledge of the US supplement market preferred.


Online (Keyword) Marketing Manager
Responsibilities:
• Build relevant keywords for our marketing campaigns in search engines such as Google and Overture.
• Improve keywords optimization, ad relevancy and conversion.
• Monitor, improve and analyze campaign performance.
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of advertising and consumer marketing experience on Internet.
• Familiar with keyword or search marketing.
• Medical or healthcare industry experiences a plus.


Customer Support
Responsibilities:
• Convert registered users in the US to real customers, and develop customer relationship online and by emails and phone.
• Work with marketing team to grow customer base, and be creative in developing necessary sales and marketing tools to gain new customers and retain old customers.
• Responsible for proofing and editing web pages and any other English language materials.
Requirements:
• English native speakers ONLY.
• University graduates with at least 2 years of customer support or service management experiences.
• Experience in customer service is key; while good proofreading skills, attention to detail and a team player are essential for this position.
• Knowledge of the US supplement market preferred.
