Guangzhou: LED Group seeks General Manager Guangzhou Office

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • General Manager Guangzhou Office
  • Manage an office team divided into four departments (Purchasing, Quality Assurance, New Product Development, Administration)
  • Act as liaison between Dublin-based headquarters and Guangzhou office.
  • Actively engage in negotiations with LED’s suppliers.
  • Provide quality service to LED’s Ex-China customers, both internal and external.
  • Develop ongoing training for the staff of the Guangzhou office, specifically in relation to such areas as business skills, technical skills, and English language ability.
  • Source new suppliers for LED Group throughout China.
  • Support Dublin-based colleagues on their visits to Asia.

Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Management experience to at least junior management level
  • A basic understanding of the technical aspects of the lighting trade, or an enthusiastic desire to learn.
  • Experience of working in Asia, more specifically on the Chinese mainland.
  • Experience of working for a European or North American company.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Mandarin to a high standard
  • Proven technical experience in the lighting business
  • Management experience at middle management level
