Woman Friend

This is a popular series of women's magazines. The flagship title, "WomanFriend," was launched in 1988, and the company now runs at least three main editions on the Chinese mainland:

• Cute (女友校园版)
• Style (女友花园版), for college students
• Love (女友家园版), for married women

These are pulps, which keeps the price down and increases their circulation beyond the urban areas targeted by the glossies.

There used to be a version for men (Man, 男友), but that appears to be defunct.

The company has also expanded internationally, with editions in Australia, North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
