Xinhua reports on a proposal to blast a gap through the Himalayas to allow humid air from the Indian Ocean to reach the Qinghai-Tibet plateau. Professor Zhang Wenjing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences said that such a plan wouldn't really help things much. (article from The Beijing News)
