 A photo of the bombed Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia is on the front pages of most newspapers in Beijing today. The attack killed nine people and wounded at least 156 people, of whom there were at least four Chinese citizens, according to witnesses and officials. Other hot news: Amendments to the construction plan for the Beijing Olympics will be completed this year; the money saved by the revised plan will be used to remodel run-down areas of the city. Today is also the 20th Teachers Day in China. Most newspapers published special reports and interviews with "people's teachers". The pictured front page is from the Beijing Morning Post |
