China needs an apology from Rem Koolhaas?

Beijing Today, the English language weekly run by Beijing Media Corp, has published an article about architecture in China and China's "crisis of national-cultural identity."

The article is a profile of architect Professor Yu Kongjie, who is not happy with the state of urban planning and believes that the first step to correct the architectural wrongs of the recent past should be an apology from Rem Koolhaas, the avant-garde Dutch architect who designed the new CCTV building.

Construction on the CCTV building started in October after many rumours that the project would be abandoned. The image above is a rendering of the building.
