The news was announced by WHO. Civet cats are suspected to carry the virus, but the article reports that extermination of civet cats from Guangdong's wildlife markets is causing a controversy. Some doctors say that it's better to over kill them than not kill enough'; animal welfare activists are appealing for humane culling methods while one environmental expert said it would be better to release them back into the wild.
