 Zhou Guozhi and Jean-Michel Jarre are not related, except that they both featured on Beijing newspapers' front pages today. The People's Daily is today's front page of the day for insisting on its own style: While most newspapers chose a photo of French electronic music virtuoso Jean-Michel Jarre's performance in the Forbidden City, the only image on the front page of the People's Daily is Zhou Guozhi, the model worker for all cadres to learn from. He is no doubt the Lei Feng of 2004.
 Zhou's glory did not take away any media exposure from Jarre however. Images of Jarre's performance in the Forbidden City and at Zhengyang Gate last night appear on the most front pages of today's papers. |
