Russian and Arabic help wanted

Your correspodent's company has moved offices and we are decorating a large yellow wall with 'hello' in various languages. Can anyone out there read Arabic or Russian? Are the words below correctly written?

The arabic word is correct.

Thanks.

I don't think the Russian is right. I'm pretty sure that алло is only used when answering the phone, not when greeting someone, though it may be totally OK on signs (my knowledge of Russian comes from a Russian girl I dated on-and-off close to a decade ago, so I may be totally wrong).

John B is right, "Алло" is Russian equivalent for "wei" or "moshi-moshi" in a phone conversation. Most appropriate Russian form for "hello" as a greeting in general is привет (ПРИВЕТ in capital letters).

John is right. Алло is only used when answering the phone. The best word to use is probably Привет (Privet).

Thanks very much guys. I love the Internet.

Hey, Jeremy, did you put a sign in Portuguese too?
Better, in Brazilian Portuguese.
:-)

What about Yiddish??

What about Estonian?
Just "Tere!" will not take too much space... :-) Have a great week!

How about 'Napoletano'?

Yes, the Arabic is correct.

the word in arabic means welcome..& the world in russian should be used during answering the phone
