Goodbye CCTV

Today Jiang Heping director of CCTV's sports department confirmed that football commentator Huang Jiangxiang has resigned from CCTV.

Jiang said that this was Huang's personal decision and nothing to do with Huang's passionately pro-Italian commentating during the 2006 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Sina reported that an unidentified source said that Huang would join Shanghai's Dragon TV, as a director of its sports department.
