Danwei on Hunan TVPosted by Jeremy Goldkorn, April 11, 2007 4:50 PM
湖南卫视观众你们好,欢迎访问我们的单位。这里都是英文博客。如果要看中文的东西,请看看我们的视频。 Regular readers of Danwei may have noticed a marked increase in irrelevant comments written in Chinese. This is the result of Danwei being featured for 20 minutes on Hunan Satellite TV's tabloid news magazine, Wan Jian (晚间). The show does not appear to be online anywhere. None of the Danwei contributors featured in the program have seen it, so please let us know if you see a version of it online. |

My English very pool,

Hah, so much for that imperialism charge, based on the comments so far!
hello,Danweis, I know you via Hunan TV yesterday night, you are so energy full-filled make me excite deeply, hope your career better and better.
LMAO! I'd like to know where those irrelevant Chinese comments are! It remind me one of the Taiwanese blogs that I visit regularly, the blog owner just, in fact, mentioned a celebrity's name once in his blog post, and the fans of that celebrity started to *spam* that very post by posting irrelevant stuff.
Well, get used to it, haha.
I like you very much!I am a student.I want to be your friend.I am 14.I am from Hunan Province! My QQnumber is 8128487.Thanks
Fermi, we put up a post once that mentioned some spoof of a Zhang Ziyi film that made fun of her English ability, and suddenly the Zhang Ziyi fan club descended, cursing us for intimating that Ms. Zhang was less than perfect. Good thing we moderate comments, so our gentle readers were spared the agony of reading them all.
Your lives are great!Nice to meet you here.
After Hunan TV,I know you from different distant countries。
下面用中文。
看完湖南卫视,慕名找来这里,真为你们的精彩高兴。
祝你们越来越好,越办越成功!
愿你们在中国身体健康,永远快乐!
God bless you.
Does this mean it is only a matter of time before daoban DVD copies of Danwei TV show up in Changsha markets?
HAH
Looks like someone doesn't feel Danwei's web-beauty lives up to hunan TV hype! Better start gathering your animated GIFs and load it the hell up. I want full epilepsy-style
"Regular readers of Danwei may have noticed a marked increase in irrelevant comments written in Chinese."
Why is it so hard to find relevant comments from Chinese people about anything? To quote another anonymous Chinese person:
"After being pleased to see how wonderful your site was on TV, I had to come find this site. I hope your site gets better and you become more successful, and wish you health and happiness in China."
Thanks, I guess? You could have not said anything and had the same effect on the site and the people who run it. My favorite comment was this:
"Better start gathering your animated GIFs and load it the hell up. I want full epilepsy-style"
Genius! A - for relevance and humor.
For all those hype, only 12 left a comment here.
j/k
anyway best wishes!
....: I think it's probably just that the commenters are a bit star-struck - like when you get a chance to meet your favorite movie star on the red carpet, and you have a whole series of intelligent comments to make about how he brought such depth to his hard-boiled cop character, but when the moment finally arrives, all you can say is "omigosh, I luv yr work!" There's a bit of that going on here, I think.
Actually, we weren't at all prepared for the reaction from Chinese TV viewers; at the time the show aired, the only Chinese link text at the top of the site went to the Wang Xiaofeng video, so that's where most of them posted their comments.
Can I know the Chinese handsome guy from your "danwei"?
