Tianjin Network News spoof

To introduce the program at its internal Spring Festival party, Tianjin TV ran this deadpan clip poking fun at the stodgy image of state television. The woman in the clip is real-life news anchor Li Mingjuan, whose bio can be found here. The man's identity remains unclear.

Although news anchors are supposed to be solemn and humorless when on-air, annual parties are an occasion to let loose and spoof that persona. Leaked internal videos from CCTV News were among the first examples of the egao style that would later be popularized by Hu Ge.
